MOBOT is known for its wide range of foldable bicycles and our convenient after sales service locations. One of the key reasons why MOBOT’s customers prefer foldable bicycles is its ability to fold. This made transportation a very seamless process for the riders.
If you are wondering how we transport our foldable bicycles for outdoor photoshoot, we did it via public transport. We simply just fold and push it into train stations. Not on any occasion do we find it a hassle or inconvenience to others. There were times where some passengers asked us where we purchased these foldable bicycles. Some of our curious #happymobotcustomers also asked us to recommend nice cycling routes.
So here are MOBOT’s top 8 cycling routes on a foldable bicycle you can ride for the weekends with instructions on how to get there via public transport or any other mode of transportation.
1. St. John & Lazarus Island
The first of the top 8 cycling routes is known for the untouched landscapes and the close encounters with nature, St. John and Lazarus islands are the perfect places for cycling! Since the terrain is relatively flat, even the average Joe can handle it. You should bring your own bike to explore the island! If you are looking for something more luxurious and private, you can consider chartering a yacht from Ximula Sail.
How to get there:
From Marina South Pier MRT Station (NS28), head to Exit B to the ferry terminal / take bus no. 400 to Marina South Pier (B03419). The 2-way ferry ticket costs $14, and the journey there is roughly 20 minutes.
Here are some scenic highlights:
- Green Trail: Views of greenery accompanied by slopes and bends;
- Lazarus Island Beach: Reportedly, the last pristine beach left in Singapore;
- Seringat Island: Cycle to unblocked views of Singapore’s coastline and a sea breeze.
Why we love it:
This route has been one of MOBOT’s favourite spots due to the beautiful scenery. It also gives off the holiday vibes, making it the best escape from the busy life in Lion City.
Watch our video here to see Darren Lim and his crew, Ximula Sail, bring MOBOT on our first-holiday trip. We had a great time sailing, cycling, and exploring Lazarus and St John Islands with the best captain, hosts, and crew.
2. Jurassic Mile
Jurassic Mile is Singapore’s largest permanent outdoor exhibit of life-size dinosaurs. The Jurassic mile is a 1km stretch from Tanah Merah Coastal Road and ends at Changi Airport Terminal 4. How we get there:
Take the East West Line to Tanah Merah MRT Station (EW4/CG), then transfer to Changi Airport MRT Station (CG2). Follow the on-ground signage that will lead you to Hub & Spoke and Jurassic Mile.
Why we love it:
As part of the 3.5km Changi Airport Connector, you will not miss the Hubs & Spokes Café. We get to grab a hearty breakfast or a refreshing drink there and enjoy the serene surroundings of Changi Airport. Generally, the trail is short. However, if it is not enough for you, you can continue and cycle through the route to East Coast (4.2km) or Changi (12.2km). Overall, it was a surreal experience seeing what it might have been like if dinosaurs were still living around us. There were quite a few Insta-worthy shots to0.
3. Changi Bay Point
Changi Bay Park Connector, also known as Singapore’s version of Jeju Island, is a 3.6km scenic coastal route you need to check out! The place has endless spots of natural beauty. The park connects Changi Beach Park to the East Coastal Park Connector Network. Changi Bay Point Park Connector stands out from the rest in its “overseas vibes” with lush lalang and a couple of lone trees, including a “floating” one.

There are even vending machines and a watercooler outside the bathroom for you to quench your thirst. It serves as a perfect spot to watch the sunrise or catch the sunset.

You can extend this route into a double loop for an extra challenge by heading in the opposite direction towards Gardens by the Bay and further down to Marina Barrage.
Follow this map: Marina Bay Loop.
Why we love it:
The Marina Bay Loop runs past many iconic landmarks in this Little Red Dot, making it ideal for photo opportunities. If you dread cycling, this loop is perfect for getting you moving as you admire from one beautiful sight to another. It is also accessible via other PCN like East Coast Park and Kallang Riverside Park, making it easy to ride at night. You don’t have to fear getting lost, especially with its brightly lit streets and huge signages.
5. East Coast Park
East Coast Park (ECP) is easily one of Singapore most popular hangout spots. The amenities, like restaurants, playgrounds, barbecue pits, and grassy areas perfect for picnics, are excellent to cater to many different groups of people. This beloved beachside stretch is no stranger to cyclists. Its 10km shared pathway spans the whole beach and is any sports enthusiast’s paradise. With numerous revamps in recent years, this coastal route comes highly recommended for its stunning views, wide designated cycling paths, and pit-stop options.

Why we love it:
The underpass and PCN make East Coast Park easily accessible. In addition, this route is well paved and runs along the coast for a great leisure cycle. Not to mentioned, there are several food places which serve as the perfect rest point after a tiring day of cycling. One of our favorites is the East Coast Lagoon Food Village. Situated right along the beach and the cycling path, East Coast Lagoon Food Village is the perfect place to refuel after a long day of frolicking in the sun. Plus, that constant sea breeze ensures you stay cool while feasting on all that the place has to offer.
6. Sentosa
Before it was Sentosa, this island just off Singapore’s southern coast was a British military fortress. After World War II, Singapore returned to British rule after the Japanese occupation. The island was renamed “Sentosa,” meaning “peace and tranquility” in Malay. In addition, not many know that our favourite resort island is also home to Singapore’s first dedicated bike lanes alongside roads.
Throughout its remarkable history, Sentosa has transformed into a beloved island resort, best known for its tropical beaches, luxurious hotels, and thrilling attractions. Whether you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or a relaxing day in the sun, Sentosa is bound to enchant and delight.
How to get there:
Take the North-East Line or Circle Line and alight at the Harbourfront Station. You may take the Sentosa Express located at the 3rd level of Vivo City shopping mall (Lobby L) or stroll along the Sentosa Boardwalk into Sentosa. / Take bus no. 123 and stop at Resorts World Sentosa, Merlion Plaza, Opposite Merlion Plaza, or Beach Station.

- Trail 02: From Sentosa Cove to Vivo City (Under 6km)
- Trail 03: Siloso to Palawan to Tanjong Beach (3.2km)
Why we love it:
The trail is about 14km long and is mostly flat terrain. The quiet roads on the island make it ideal for budding road cyclists. Make a right turn at the giant roundabout after entering Sentosa for a bit of a challenge. You’ll start your journey with an uphill climb up to Fort Siloso. You will get to cycle among WWII-era barracks, pillboxes, and artillery, before descending past Sentosa’s scenic beaches and bustling crowds.

8. Coney Island
We have come to the last of the top 8 cycling routes on a foldable bicycle in Singapore.
Besides being rich in history, Coney Island Park houses a wide variety of habitats, including coastal forests, grasslands, mangroves, and casuarina woodlands. It is home to a wide variety of fauna and flora, some of which are critically endangered. Some plants at the park are presumed nationally extinct in the wild. Since its opening in 2015, Coney Island Park has been a top spot for families to visit for its beautiful scenery, calm ambiance, and easy cycling and hiking trails! Come cycle down the main Coney Island spine and experience nature on a ride. You can either bring your bike or rent it from Punggol Point Park.
How to get there:
From Punggol interchange, take bus 84 to Punggol Point Park/Punggol Settlement. Walk about 500m east along the Punggol Promenade Nature Walk to get to Coney Island Park West Entrance.
Route A: (2 hours+)
You do not go through Coney Island until the end with this option. Turn back to beach C or D. By then, you will have seen everything Coney Island offers. You can slowly take your time to explore Coney Island. If you started out taking the main path, you could cycle along the coast and inner paths on your way back.
Route B: (3 hours+)
With this option, you cycle through Coney Island and out the East entrance, which will land you in Pasir Ris.
Direction:
There is a shortcut to the Lorong Halus Wetlands on the right when you exit Coney Island. Look out for it because it is not so obvious. Take the path highlighted as the dotted line on the map, and you will get to cycle along the river and reach Lorong Halus much quicker. You will find more Instagram opportunities at the Wetlands and a much-needed water cooler.
Insta-worthy spots:
- Entrance of Coney Island;
- Bird Shelter;
- Japanese looking trees;
- Mysterious Haw Par Villa;
- Lalang Fields;
- Tree stumps and stepping stones;
- Lorong Halus Wetlands.
Why we love it:
With all the aesthetic spots and the rustic green space in the city’s north-east area, Coney Island has got to be one of our favourites in Singapore. Although the main path of the island only runs for 2.4km, you can also explore the island’s coastal trails or chill at the hidden beach. The best part of Coney Island is that it is close to the Punggol Settlement, which has House of Seafood and other cafes for you to catch a break.
