SITEX Electronics Fair into the first 29 years. In addition to dazzling array of technology products, the organizers worked with government departments and start-up companies, to bring to public a demonstration area, in a bid to stimulate public interest in technology products. Personal Mobility Device like e-scooter had become one of this year best sellers at the show.



From the living room to the bedroom, smart home technology debuted for the first time in the electronic fairs. Visitors can simply click on phone application, or gestures, to control their own smart home technology.



For the first time, the organizers collaborated with PIXEL Lab from Media and Communication Development Agency to encourage children to innovate and experiment with their activities.



Highlights of the event include robotics developed by Nanyang Technological University students, and 16 start-ups gathered to share with public their latest research results.



“This has evolved into an experiential venue, not only as a promotional event, but also in line with the government’s goal of becoming a smart nation,” said He Simin, executive director of the Infocomm Industry and Commerce Association of Singapore. Creating awareness of the application of science and technology to everyday life.



Of course, this year hot selling personal mobility devices like e-scooter is one of the highlight of this year show.



“The Land Transport Authority has liberalized the means of transport for individuals so that more people can choose the means of transport,” said Lai Wuchun, chairman of MOBOT. “Our performance this year is about 40 percent higher compared to last year.

And wearable technology products are also popular. Organizers revealed that of the 98 exhibitors this year, wearable technology products accounted for about 15% more than last year, nearly doubling last year amount.
