@mobot.sg A NEW PARALYMPIC MEDALIST IS BORN 🇸🇬 At 12:53 PM on 2nd September (France time), Jeralyn Tan made history in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, winning a Silver medal in Women's Individual BC1 Boccia. This isn't just a victory; it’s a defining moment for Singapore, marking the first time our nation has ever secured a medal in Boccia. With this win, Boccia becomes the third sport in which we have claimed Paralympic glory, standing alongside swimming and equestrian. Jeralyn is Singapore's fourth Paralympian to achieve a podium finish. Cheerful and bubbly, Jeralyn turns into a warrior on the court. Her disability doesn't limit her mentality one bit. Leading up to the Paralympic Games, she trained every day. She joined boccia as her CCA 16 years ago, and became world number 2 before the Paralympic games. We had the loveliest time watching Jeralyn compete for the past week, seeing her composure and wit. Despite facing the world's top boccia player in an earlier round, Jeralyn overcame adversity to climb all the way to the finals. We are so proud of Jeralyn, and right now, we are so proud to be Singaporean. Thank you for your hard work!
