Contest format

Contest Flow
  1. Check-in at registration counter.
  2. Safety & competition brief.
  3. Safe Rider Pledge.
  4. Scooter familiarization at practice area.
  5. Enter circuit.
  6. Complete time trial from station 1 – 4 (in no particular order).
  7. Proceed to station 5 and complete station obstacles and quiz.
  8. Return Scooter

Contest Station information

Start off point

  1. Contestant will check-in/register at the registration counter at the entrance.
  2. After registration, contestant will then proceed for the safety and competition brief area.
  3. At the testing area, contestant will be able to get themselves familiarize with the contest scooters. After which they will take the Safe Rider pledge and move out.
  4. In no particular order, contestant can choose to clear time-trial circuit from station 1 – 4 before proceeding to station 5.

S Course

The S course will put contestant skill in maneuvering their electric scooters to the test.
  1. Contestant will check-in with station master and start their time trial
  2. For every cone that is knocked down, an additional 5 second will be added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  3. After completion of the challenge, contestant will present their time-chart to the station master for recording, before moving to the next challenge.

The Crank Course

The Crank Course test contestant cornering ability. How fast can you corner?
  1. Contestant will check-in with station master and start their time trial
  2. For every cone that is knocked down, an additional 5 second will be added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  3. After completion of the challenge, contestant will present their time-chart to the station master for recording, before moving to the next challenge.

The Advance Balancing Course

Contestant will warm up with a series of zigzag movement (this is part of the time trial), before they proceed to challenge the balancing courses.
  1. Contestant will check-in with station master and start their time trial
  2. For every cone that is knocked down, an additional 5 second will be added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  3. Traveling out of the assigned balancing line will result in 10 second added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  4. After completion of the challenge, contestant will present their time-chart to the station master for recording, before moving to the next challenge.

The Transit Course

Contestant will be tested on their transit speed. Contestant must fold their electric scooter and pass through the transit area. No running will be allowed (breeze walking is allowed).
  1. Contestant will check-in with station master and start their time trial
  2. For every cone that is knocked down, an additional 5 second will be added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  3. Traveling out of the balancing line will result in 10 second added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  4. After completion of the challenge, contestant will present their time-chart to the station master for recording, before moving to Station 5.

The SafeRider Course

Put your road safety knowledge to the test. Participate in a series of short safety circuit and clock in your fastest time in the safest way.
  1. Contestant will check-in with station master and start their time trial
  2. For every cone that is knocked down, an additional 5 second will be added to the total time taken to complete the course.
  3. Breaking safety rules will result in 10 second added time to final time-trial result
  4. Answering one wrong safety question will result in 20 second added time to final time-trial result
  5. After completion of the course, contestant will present their time-chart to the station master for recording and return their scooter.
  6. Proceed to LTA Booth, contestant will do a short safe rider survey, provided by the Active Mobility Unit at the LTA Booth.

Additional Information

  • Competition is open to both male and females above 18 years of age.
  • Participants will be required to sit in for a short safety briefing before the competition.
  • Participants will need to complete all stations in the shortest time, while abiding by the safety rules set out within the competition.
  • The winners are selected based on the shortest completion time.
  • Prizes will be presented to the winners after the competition.
