ELECTRIC scooter manufacturer MOBOT has a new innovation perfect for long distance riders. The MOBOT Freedom Chaser boasts an Intelligent Accelerator System that allows the personal mobility device to accelerate to one of three preset speeds while maintaining that speed throughout the journey without needing to press and hold the throttle. To slow down, just pull one of the brakes; and upon release, the electric scooter will again
accelerate automatically to the preset speed. Says MOBOT’s managing director lfrey Lai: “This idea came from a regular customer
who was using his electric scooter to travel 16km, a 50-minute journey, to work.”
He adds that MOBOT Freedom Chaser’s battery capacity was also increased so it can travel up to 60km on a full charge. Additionally, it has an anti-theft alarm, a remote-controlled key lock system and a water-resistant LCD display. MOBOT’s products are available at FairPrice Xtra (N EX, AMK Hub, Hougang 1, Sports Hub, Jurong Point) and selected Giant Hypermarkets (Tampines, IMM, V|voCity), Guardian (Toa Payoh, Bedok Central) and the Gain City headquarters at Sungei Kadut Drive.
